Amazon Product Hunting

Product Hunting is The Very First Step After Making an Account on Amazon.

Here we will see what product hunting is, and How can a beginner hunt the Profitable Product.

Product Hunting is a process that is done to fetch a product whose
I. Market competition is less but
II. Demand is more, and
III. Is more profitable.
So to choose a product to sell on Amazone should have The above Three Properties.
Let's take an example to understand it.
I have a business of Leather Shoes. And I want to sell it in Italy. The first step is to check the product competition. My product has great competition as Italy is famous for its leather shoes.

It's that mean you cannot work through Amazone in Italian Market Place? You Can Do.

You just have to invest in some other product.

Let the Product is Collapsable Straw. During these corona days, you can choose a collapsible straw, which will be repacked after use. This product has less competition in the market, as a small amount of industry manufacture it. And because of the corona pandemic, its demand is more. You just have to buy it from the industry which offers it with less price and place it in your warehouse.

So keep in mind never bound yourself to a specific type of product if you want to hunt for a profitable item. your emotions should not get in the way of product hunting. For example, some people like artwork and bound themselves to sell only related to artwork, someone has a shoe factory and wants to sell shoes only, etc.

It is good that you want to sell those products that you already have in your factory. But first, go to Amazone to see whether people want to purchase those products or not? Are people searching those keywords or not?  The answer to these questions s actually the product hunting.

From Where to Start The Process of Product Hunting.

The process starts with the knowledge of Key Words. It is most important for Product Hunting.

What are keywords?

These are the words that people use to fetch the product in the search box. You may call this as it is your product name.
Keywords may be the short-end or may be long-tail. It depends on the user how he searches for the desired product.

The word that is typed mostly tells the demand for the product. It also tells the search volume of the product.

The search Volume for Short Tail Key Words is more Than Long Tail Key Words.

The Second Important Thing is Product Hunting Criteria.

Basically, it is just related to common sense.

Some of the criteria that beginners should have to follow in my opinion are as follows,

1. Sell Products in FBA Category

2. Amazone charges from FBA Category according to the shape & size. So chose the product with small size and small shape.

3. Avoid selection of Fragile Products/Items. These products may be broken during transportation

4. Avoid selling Products with short-term expiration dates.

5. Avoid selling products without Certification.

6. Select the product which has less variety in the market. Because Customers buy the product from the store which has vast variety. And vast variety requires a high amount of investment.

7. Select the Product with a rating of more than 4 stars.

8. Avoid selling patent products.

9. Never Invest a high amount in trending products, as the trend changes very soon. if you have a large stock its profit decreases with the depletion of the trend and in the last, you just have to pay the storage fee.

10. Avoid Competition with Brand Dominant Product.

11. If you want to sell heavy-weight products, sell them in FBM Category. Otherwise, the price will go high.

Product Hunting Ideas.

The question arises from where will you get the Product Hunting Ideas?

People around you and in your community will help you to find ideas. It's really funny.
Ask your friends and family members to give you ideas about the selection of products.

The words they tell you will be the keywords, note down them, and then go to Amazone.com.

On the left side, there is a written ship to, change the postal code with the postal code of the desired market.

Now write the suggested words from your friend and family and you will see a list of products of different categories. This will broaden your mind and help to fetch the product of your criteria.

One other method is select Best Sellers, this will also give you ideas to fetch products.

Methodologies for Product Hunting?

Two methodologies are used for Product Hunting.

1. By UsingTools
2. Manually

Tools for Product Hunting.

The simple method that most users and Virtual assistants use is buying tools for product hunting.
Following are the tools that are used for Product Hunting.

1. Jungle Scout:

Jungle Scout is used to knowing the competition of the product that you want to sell, How many people are selling it? How much revenue is being generated? How many reviews guys are out there?

All information about this type of information is collected by jungle scout. It tells about product scores like how much competition is there.

2. Merchant Words

This is also a tool that will talk about your keyword. For example, How many people are searching for leather wallets? This tool basically tells about the search volume of keywords.
Merchant Words will tell you 'how many people are searching the selected keyword'.

3. Helium 10 :

Helium 10 tool will tell you 'How to rank your product & how many free give away you should offer. It also tells you more about your keywords and competitors' keywords that what keywords they are being ranked or selling their products.
This will help you to choose keywords for the product you are going to sell.
It will tell you 'what keywords your competitors are ranked and what are their sales on those keywords'.

Product Hunting Without Tools.

Product Hunting is a simple but time-consuming process. So be patient while doing this process. All your work and profit depend on this process.

First, go to Amazon.com and enter the postal code of the desired market/country.

Enter the Keyword of your product in the search box.

Amazone will give you suggestions for the keywords, write down these keywords.

Let first you type glass, then Amazone will show you on the top of the page, how many people selling these glasses. For example, 2000 people selling this means there are 2000 lists. This means that the product is available in 2000 shops or at least you will get an idea that the searched product is sold by many and is a hot selling product.

Now you have to see, whether I am going to sell this product or not.

Next Check the reviews of your Competitors. i.e. how many reviews are there and how many stars are given. If reviews are fewer you can easily compete. This is an important factor in product selection in product hunting.

Now you have to check the monthly sale of your desired product/competitor. How will you check this? You go to that product and ''add to cart''. It will ask you for the quantity. Enter 999 as it is the maximum quantity that you can type. When you type the maximum number the Amazone will tell, 'wait there are only 600 pieces in the cart'.

The next day again, Amazon will tell you that only 500 pieces are available, From this, you will get the idea that 100 pieces are sold in a day. Note down the sale. Do this job for at least one week.

Collect the sale record of at least 10-12 sellers.

Check that if the reviews are maximum but the sale is not enough then not hunt that product.

Keep in mind always hunt product which is selling with a minimum price of 10 dollars, because Amzaone charges much from merchants.
